I started to work in lab as a research scholarship at Micology Unit, National Centre of Microbiology, Instituto de Salud Carlos III, Madrid, in 2003. Through these years I’ve been working in the Spongiform Encephalopathies Unit, AIDS Variability and Biology Unit and in AIDS Immunopathology Unit. It gave me the opportunity to learn a lot of technics.
Currently, I collaborate with Dra. Esther Calonge in the study of restriction factors responsible for the blocking having some immune cells to infection with HIV-1 and the consequences this has for the subsequent progression of infection and development of AIDS.
