Master of Virology – Universidad Complutense de Madrid - Spain, 2014

From college career, I was always interested in researching, and I can start on basic issues of antibiotic resistance in bacteria of clinical interest, and potentiate the action of some antibiotics with anionic compounds.

After gaining experience in the field of clinical analysis, besides enabling me on issues of molecular biology through courses and internships in laboratories, I decided to expand my professional expectations and apply for a scholarship funded by the Peruvian government to study a Master of Virology in Madrid, which it is a subject that has always interested me and which I could achieve it.

As has always caught my interest to study HIV because it has unique and specific mechanisms that allow you to cause pathogenesis and have much relevance to epidemiological level, seeing the research working at AIDS Immunopathology Laboratory - ISCIII, I decided to contact with them and grateful to have been accepted for research in the area of antivirals, and where I have expectations of finding significant results in the field of anti-HIV mechanisms of new compounds.
